Titov Island

Located about 14 kilometers from Bai Chay to the East of Halong Bay, Titov Island is a beautiful stop for cruising on Halong Bay as well as a haven for relaxation in Halong.

This island was named after Gherman Titov - a Soviet cosmonaut. It is known as “Cemetery Island”. Because there is a French cargo ship in 1905 that was unable to safely navigate its way through the waters, eventually floundering on the rocks with the loss of all hands; they are buried here and so the name caught on. This island is well-known for its scenic landscape with a quiet atmosphere, white sand, and cool water, and a quiet atmosphere.
