Cap La Fishing Village
Overview Cap La Fishing Village
Cap La Fishing Village is the smallest out of the 4 remaining floating villages in Halong Bay. Here there is no national electricity system. It’s the reason why the locals have to use electricity generators. This fishing village is home to less than 200 residents.
Traditionally, children go to school until the age of 12 years, then stop working as fishermen because fishing and aquaculture are their main livelihood. There are thousands of visitors flock to the bay every day to marvel at the exotic scenery, but the people of Cap La village see only their home.

The locals live their lives largely unconcerned with the hordes of tourists to the south and to the north; their main focus is, and has always been the sea.
If you are seeking a glimpse of authenticity or a less populous alternative to the well-known Vung Vieng fishing village, Cap La may be just what you are hoping to find. This is one of the most attractive destinations of the Halong Bay tour that visitors cannot miss. We believe that when you arrive in this village, all your busy life will leave behind you.
