Cap La Fishing Village
Overview Cap La Fishing Village
Cap La Fishing Village is the smallest out of the 4 remaining floating villages in Halong Bay. Here there is no national electricity system. It’s the reason why the locals have to use electricity generators. This fishing village is home to less than 200 residents.
Traditionally, children go to school until the age of 12 years, then stop for working as fishermen because fishing and aquaculture is their main livelihood. There are thousands of visitors flock to the bay every day to marvel at the exotic scenery, but the people of Cap La village see only their home.
