This remote community has remained relatively unchanged since its ancestors settled here centuries ago. Surrounded by lush forests and mountains within Cat Ba National Park, the locals live in isolation from the island's other communities, with sea access as their sole connection. The villagers are largely self-sufficient, cultivating vegetables and fruits in nearby fields, growing rice in the valley, and fishing in the bay. You'll get a glimpse of local households, see farming equipment from past and present, and sample locally made "wine" in various flavors, all while surrounded by the natural beauty and tranquility of this secluded valley nestled among towering mountains.

As you return to the ship, you'll have the chance to participate in an interactive cooking class with the chef in the dining room. Enjoy a breakfast spread of coffee, tea, and pastries in the dining room. The ship sails toward Gai Luan Pier, and from there, a short bus ride takes you to Cat Ba National Park. You'll embark on a leisurely and contemplative walk through the lush, jungle-like forest. Cat Ba National Park is recognized as a biosphere reserve, housing over 1,500 plant species, 78 avian species, 20 reptilian species, and 32 mammalian species, including deer, macaques, and civets.

Upon returning to the ship, a delectable lunch is served as the luxurious vessel resumes its voyage, heading northeast through the intriguing maze of Lan Ha Bay. Eventually, you'll arrive at a secluded bay area that serves as the base for your afternoon activities.

Heritage Line's Ylang Cruise drops anchor here, and guests are offered a free afternoon to choose their preferred activities. The tender is available to shuttle you to a beautiful natural island beach, perfect for relaxation or swimming.

Kayaks are also on hand for personal exploration of the tranquil area. A snack and drink station is set up on the beach, ensuring you remain refreshed. Upon returning to the ship, a hearty breakfast is served as you cruise back to your offshore embarkation point.
